Kyoto Animation’s Violet Evergarden Film Extends its Japanese Theatrical Run Due to High Demand

Kyoto Animation, the producers of Violet Evergarden: Spin-Off – Eternity and Auto Memory Doll –, have announced (1, 2) the film will continue its theatrical run in Japan.

It was originally set to run from September 6th to September 20th. However, after the horrific Kyoto Animation arson attack in July, the release was delayed by three weeks.

The film’s popularity resulted in its run being extended to October 17th, and now it has extended again to an undisclosed date.

The promotional offer will also continue, wherein patrons will get one of four novels by Violet Evergarden author Kana Akatsuki (selected at random).

Finally, the film will have seven new screening locations. These locations are based in Aomori, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Okyama, and Tokyo.
