Man Uses Reflection in JPop Idol’s Eyes to Stalk Her Home, Sexually Assaults Her

Fans of Japanese pop idols can get pretty obsessive – really cementing the term “idol” with the genre. One man went too far and stalked a Jpop idol home, sexually assaulting her, all via reflections in her eyes from a photo.

As reported by Tokyo Reporter (via World of Buzz), 26 year old Hibiki Sato tracked Japanese idol Ena Matsuoka (from the girl group Tenshitsukinukeniyomi) via a photo Ena posted to social media.

The way the high-resolution photo was taken let Sato zoom in and see details through the reflection in Ena’s eyes. Sato managed to figure out which train station she usually takes home. He waited at the station and then took the same train with Ena.

Once Ena got off the train Sato followed her to her apartment, came up from behind, pressed a towel into her face, and began fondling her body. The assault left Ena with injuries to her face that took nearly a week to recover from.

Tokyo police warned others to be mindful of what they’re posting online, with the increase in photography technology the possibilities of similar assaults and stalking can happen.
