Japan Invented an Anti-Theft Device for Pudding

We’ve all had that co-worker or family member that eats our treats in the fridge and then denies doing it. With this new device that alerts people to missing pudding parameters, the sweet treats may be safe after all.

The device has sensors wired into it that detect the weight of the pudding, so even replacing it with another item won’t work. You’ll have to replace it with another pudding at that point, which defeats the purpose of stealing the original pudding in the first place.


The pudding anti-theft is also designed to send messages and emails to the pudding owner, to alert them when their treat is lifted off its tray. It’s quite an ingenious device that could thwart refrigerator thieves moving forward.
