Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!

Studio ENGI have announced they will be animating Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! as a TV anime.

The original 2017 manga by Take sees third year college student Shinichi Sakurai meet his former upper classman from highschool (now the year below him) Hana Uzaki. Much like she used to, Uzaki constantly pesters Sakurai to hang out with her and goof off. Over time, Shinichi likes to spend time with her a little more.

In other news, Uzaki was used in the Japanese Red Cross’ blood drive promotion, which drew complaints of the busty character encouraging sexual harassment. While withdrawn for a time, Bengo 4 reports the campaign has continued under new guidelines, and a short manga by the author showing the main characters giving blood.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! will premiere in Japan in July, 2020.
