New episodes of the latest season of the Pokemon television anime will be delayed, due to safety concerns caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the official Twitter, beginning this week new episodes of the Pokemon anime will be replaced with rebroadcasts. Pocket Monsters, as it’s called in Japan, normally airs Sundays at 6PM JST. The episode originally scheduled to air on Sunday April 26th will be delayed for the foreseeable future.
The new season of Pocket Monsters follows Satoshi (Ash) and his new companions Gou (or Go). Pokemon and regions from all of the mainline game’s “generations” will be featured. The newest season titled Pokemon Journeys: the Series in English, has yet to have a formal debut in the west.
The online YouTube series Pokemon: Twilight Wings has also been affected, with the English dub of the latest episode not being available as of this time of writing. The prior episodes had released Japanese and English dubs simultaneously to the official Pokemon YouTube channels (Japanese and US respectively).
