Square Enix and Toei Animation have announced that a remake of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai will be premiering later this year in October.
According to the official site for Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, the new anime series is a remake of the 1991 anime of the same name, also from Toei Animation. Originally it was a manga series published by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump by writer and artist duo Riku Sanjo (Beet The Vandel Buster, Kamen Rider W: Fuuto Detectives) and Koji Inada (Beet The Vandel Buster).
The news of the premiere comes just as two games related to the upcoming series have also been announced. Dragon Quest: The Adventure Of Dai -Soul Bond- is coming to mobile devices in 2021; and Infinite Strash Dragon Quest: The Adventure Of Dai is also coming in 2021 but for consoles.
