Gal & Dino Broadcasting Schedule Delayed Due to Coronavirus

The anime series Gal & Dino (Gal to Kyouryuu) announced on their official news blog that the series will be put on hiatus due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Gal & Dino is a light-hearted comedy series about a fashionable and trendy girl who has a cartoonish dinosaur move into her apartment. The manga began in 2018 by author Moriko Mori, artist Cota Tomimura, and is published by Kodansha. The anime series began this past month, premiering on April 4th.


Episode seven of Gal & Dino will still premiere on May 16th as scheduled. Afterwards the usual timeslot for the series will begin rebroadcasting episodes one through five. It is unknown when the series will resume broadcasting new episodes.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic (also known as COVID-19 officially, or Chinese Flu to others) has affected many worldwide, from businesses to public gatherings and events.

This includes postponements of GDC, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the physical events for EVO 2020 and Tokyo Game Show 2020, and cancellations E3 2020 (including digital events), the physical event for Gamescom 2020, and Comiket 98.

We also reported Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna was delayed on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare partnering with Love Live! Sunshine!! to promote good hygiene.

The Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering are mapping the virus’ spread [12]. As of this time of writing, there have been over 4.315 million total confirmed cases worldwide, and over 2.498 million active cases. There have been over 294,000 deaths, however over 1.523 million people have made a “total recovery.”

Japan has had a total of 15,968 cases (6,780 active cases), 657 deaths, and 8,531 recoveries.
