The premiere date of the latest installment of the Strike Witches series titled Strike Witches Road to Berlin has been announced.

Strike Witches is a multimedia franchise starring young girls in an alternate version of World War II era Earth. The girls, known as Witches have magical powers capable of fighting aliens that are attacking Earth called the “Neuroi”. Witches use World War II armaments, magic, and special flight gear called Striker Units which are modeled after real life World War II aircraft.

Strike Witches began as a series of column illustrations by artist Fumikane Shimada, before being adapted in manga form in 2005 by writer Yoshiyuki Kazumi. Since then, there have been multiple Strike Witches anime series, Original Video Animations (OVAs), and video games featuring the characters of the franchise.

The series stars Yoshika Miyafuji, a Witch from the Fuso Empire who joins the notorious 501st Joint Fighter Wing “Strike Witches” unit to fight the Neuroi. The 501st is an international unit comprised of only the most elite Witches across the world.

The upcoming series, Strike Witches Road to Berlin will feature the girls on a mission to clear the skies of Berlin and fight off the enemy Neuroi. You can read a synopsis of the series from the official site below.
