Demon Slayer Tamagotchi Pets Coming to Japan and US

Demon Slayer Tamagotchi

The classic digital Tamagotchi pets are making a return, this time featuring characters from the Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) series.

According to the official Tamagotchi site, virtual pets of an assortment of Demon Slayer characters will be made available. Currently Tanjiro Nezuko, and Kisatsutaichi (Demon Corps) are available for preorder, with Zenitsu and Inosuke coming in December.

For those who don’t know, a Tamagotchi is a virtual pet keychain that was originally released in the 90s and has since grown into a multimedia franchise. Tamagotchi play consists of feeding for, cleaning up after, and looking after a virtual pet that can be interacted with using buttons on the keychain.

The Demon Slayer Tamagotchi models will feature new minigames and ways to care for your pet anime character. Demon Slayer pets will need to train by cutting boulders, breaking a hyoutan, or pouring medicine.

The Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Kisatsutaichi Tamagotchi pets are available for preorder now. Zenitsu and Inosuke will release on December 5th. English-speaking fans can find more details through Bandai’s official site.
