Maaya Sakamoto’s 25th Anniversary Concert Planned for March 2021

Voice actress and singer Maaya Sakamoto has planned a concert to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her first single this upcoming March.

Originally announced on Twitter, Maaya Sakamoto is planning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her singing career which launched with her single Yakusoku wa Iranai; which was used as the main theme for The Vision of Escaflowne. Sakamoto also voiced the lead role of Hitomi Kanzaki in the same series.


The announcement of the concert coincides with the upcoming release of her single Dokuhaku ↔ Yakudou on December 9th. Japanese fans who purchase the single will be put in a lottery for a chance to win the right to early purchase of her anniversary concert tickets.

Maaya Sakamoto is also known for her roles as Aura in the .hack franchise, Crona in Soul Eater, and Mishio Amano in Kanon.

It’s unknown at present if there will be virtual tickets for overseas fans to watch the concert live and details are forthcoming.
