    The second season for the anime series Uma Musume Pretty Derby will premiere on January 4th as part of the Winter season.

    Beginning with a manga series in 2018 from Cygames, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is a planned multimedia franchise. The first season of the anime also premiered in the same year as the manga.


    Ultimately Uma Musume Pretty Derby is meant to culminate in an upcoming mobile game set to release in 2021.

    Uma Musume Pretty Derby follows the horse girl Special Week who moves to Tokyo to become the best horse girl in Japan. Once she’s in Tokyo, Special Week joins the Tracen Academy where horse girls are trained to perform in races.

    Cygames, the creator of Uma Musume Pretty Derby (or Cycomics for the manga) is also known for their other mobile games such as Rage of Bahamut, Dragalia Lost, and Granblue Fantasy. The mobile game for Uma Musume Pretty Derby was originally supposed to launch in 2018 but was pushed back and has yet to be released.

    An official western release for the anime, manga, or mobile game have yet to be announced at the time of publishing.
