    A new anime project based on the Kancolle multimedia project will premiere this October.

    The upcoming anime series will be shorter than the usual 12, lasting for only eight episode. Kancolle (or Kantai Collection) is a mobile game which sees players take on the role of an admiral who commands a fleet of anthropomorphized ship girls.


    The ships are largely based off of historic ships from World War 2 and other global conflicts.

    An anime based on the game originally premiered in 2015, making it over 7 years since the anime was last seen on TV.
