    Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy

    An anime adaptation of the long-running series Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy will be available on Netflix later this year.

    Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is the claim to fame for creator Kazushi Hagiwara who created the series back in 1987. His other credits are solely character design credits for other works.

    In a post apocalyptic world of heavy metal fantasy, the only thing able to save humans from orcs, lizard men, and other monsters is something even MORE evil. Sealed within a 14-year-old boy, the chaotic wizard Dark Schneider is unleashed to fight four mighty generals and their plot to resurrect the evil god Anslasax!

    While technically the series is ongoing, it has been on hiatus ever since 2010 with the release of the 27th volume.
