• Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Comes to US Theaters April 23

    The anime film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train will be premiering in western theaters beginning on April 23rd, as well as releasing digitally on June 22nd.

    Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is the film sequel to the anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The film adapts the Mugen Train arc that ran from chapters 54 through 69 of the manga. Tanjiro and friends board the Mugen Train to find demon slayer Kyojuro Rengoku, hoping to learn the Hinokami Kagura breath style.


    However, Kyojuro has been sent to investigate strange disappearances on the train, and kill the demon assumed to be behind it. As people begin to fall asleep, no one can be sure who will be left alive when the train reaches its final stop.

    The film, which premiered in Japan late last year went on to become the highest grossing film in Japan ever (at the time of publishing). The film beat out local hits Spirited Away and Your Name as well as international successes like Frozen and Titanic for the top spot.

    The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series is licensed in the United States by Aniplex of America, a subsidiary of Sony.
