    A second season has been announced for the 2021 anime Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro.

    Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro is a romantic comedy similar in tone to the recent Uzaki-chan Wants to Play. Nagatoro is a confident underclassman who constantly teases her nerdy senior known only as Senpai throughout the series. The teasing varies in tone from flirtatious to cruel, but it might be that Nagatoro hides hidden feelings for her bashful Senpai.

    Nagatoro is a freshman in high school who loves teasing and torturing her older male classmate (Senpai).
    What is her motivation and why does Senpai put up with her?

    The series was the subject of a controversy regarding its use of the word “sus” in its English subtitles and sparked a conversation about the place English colloquialisms have in Japanese translations.
