Sunrise has shared the first teaser trailer for the anime film adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway (Kidou Senshi Gundam: Senkou no Hathaway)
Featured above, the first trailer for the upcoming anime film gives the first look at the long-awaited adaptation of Yoshiyuki Tomino’s follow-up to the classic Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack film. The movie, as expected, covers the events that happen after the big climax of Char’s Counterattack.
The film stars Hathaway Noa, the son of the iconic ship captain Bright Noa, and takes place in the year UC 0105, while Char’s Counterattack takes place in the year UC 0093. The trailer also confirms the anime film will premiere on July 23rd of this year.
Originally announced as a trilogy, the second in the UC NexT 0100 project, focuses more on the future of the UC timeline. The previous film, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, aired in Japan back in 2018. Sunrise is planning a new Gundam film release every year or two.
