Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!

Funimation have announced some the cast of the English dub for Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, along with its premiere date.

As previously reported, the show is animated by Studio ENGI, and based on the original 2017 manga by Take, Third year college student Shinichi Sakurai meet his former upper classman from highschool (now the year below him) Hana Uzaki.

Much like she used to, Uzaki constantly pesters Sakurai to hang out with her and goof off. Over time, Shinichi likes to spend time with her a little more.

The English cast includes Sakurai voiced by Ricco Fajardo. His prior works include Taiju Oki in Dr. Stone, Kotaro Tatsum in Zombie Land Saga, Mirio Togata in My Hero Academia; along with roles in Dragon Ball Super, Darling in the FranXX, Junji Ito Collection, Black Clover, Attack on Titan, and Saga of Tanya the Evil.

The titular Uzaki will be voiced by Monica Rial. Her works include Sakura Kinomoto (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card), Maho Hiyajo (Steins;Gate 0), Mitty (Made in Abyss), Suu (Monster Musume), Bulma (Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Z Kai), Tanya Degurechaff (Saga of Tanya the Evil), and Tsuyu Asui (My Hero Academia), and Tomoko Kuroki (WataMote).

Funimation also revealed the ADR team. You can find them below.

  • ADR Director Mikala Vallemo
  • ADR Engineer Kellen Voss
  • Mix Engineer Rawly Pickens
  • ADR Script Supervisor Jeramey Kraatz
  • ADR Script Writer Jessica Cavanagh

You can find the full rundown (via Funimation) below.

University student Shinichi Sakurai is comfortable being an introverted loner and doesn’t care what others think. Buxom underclassmen Hana Uzaki doesn’t understand this one bit. A tornado of joy, she’s taken it upon herself to make him more social. Starting to enjoy her company, he’d concede that they’re friends. Can it be possible to have as much fun with another person as he would by himself?
