A third season for KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! has been officially confirmed.
At present there isn’t a release date for the new season, but you can read our past coverage about the series here from when it was announced last year.
The series (and its light novel) follows Kazuma Satō, reborn in a fantasy world after his death. As he crosses over, he is given a choice for something to make his life easier by the goddess Aqua. Kazuma decides to pick her, thinking it will give him the best chance at an easy life. Unfortunately, Kazuma quickly learns Aqua is utterly useless, and causes more trouble than she solves.
As Aqua is trapped in the mortal realm until the Demon King is killed, she and Kazuma set off on RPG style quests to help grant god’s blessing on this wonderful world. They are accompanied by masochist crusader knight Darkness, and explosion-obsessed chunibyo Megumin.
The two seasons of the anime have covered the first four volumes of the light novel, with the movie covering the fifth. As the light novel has 17 volumes (and currently 66 manga chapters); it seems all but certain this new animation will be the next season. However, the announcement technically does not confirm what sort of animation it will be.

The announcement is a long awaited one, as the second season for the series ended 5 years ago back in 2017.
