Re:Zero Anime Season 2 Premieres in April 2020, First Season to be Re-Broadcast with New Scenes

The premiere date of the second season of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World) has been announced, along with a new broadcast of the first series with new scenes.

Animate Times is reporting it will premier in April, 2020. While this will continue to adapt Tappei Nagatsuki’s adventure fantasy light novel, not much else was revealed at this juncture. However, a key visual was provided which you can see below:


In addition, an edited version of the first season will broadcast in the new year. This will compile the 25-episode season as one-hour episodes with new scenes. It will premier on January 1st, 2020 on AT-X at 10:30 p.m. JST, and later on Tokyo MX, BS11, and Sun TV. You can find the key visual for that below:

While the novel debuted in 2012, and the light novel debuted in early 2014, the anime first broadcast in April 2016, with two spin-off series in the same year, and an OVA in 2018.

The second series of Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu will premier in April 2020.
